A P.A. is a Physician's Assistant. A P.A. is a licensed provider that provides like healthcare under the supervision of a licensed medical doctor or doctor of osteopathy. They must have at least a bachelor's degree and complete a PA training program that is accredited by the national commission of Physician Assistants.
Both of these medical professions require similar training, testing, certification, and medical degrees; however, a doctor of Osteopathy requires further specialized training in the area of Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment (OMT), which involves the user of their hands to diagnose injury and illness and to encourage the body's natural ability to heal.
